चंद्रपूर शहरात आज गणेश विसर्जन पोलिसांच्या तगड्या बंदोबस्तात होत आहे, बाप्पा ला निरोप देण्यासाठी हजारो नागरिकांनी शहरात उपस्थिती लावली आहे.
पोलीस विभागाने अप्रिय घटना घडू नये यासाठी ठिकठिकाणी सीसीटीव्ही कॅमेरे लावले आहे.

गांधी चौकात बाप्पा ला निरोप देण्यासाठी आलेल्या महिलेचा सोन्याचा गोफ चोरीला गेला, 14 वर्षाची अल्पवयीन मुलगी हरवली व विशेष म्हणजे सकाळपासून बंदोबस्तात असलेल्या पोलीस कर्मचाऱ्याला भोवळ आल्याने तात्काळ वाहनात टाकून रुग्णालयात नेण्यात आले, मात्र शहरात मोठ्या प्रमाणात गर्दी असल्याने पोलिसांच्या वाहनाला सुद्धा मार्ग मिळत नव्हता. हळूहळू वाहन पुढे गेले आणि त्या कर्मचाऱ्याला रुग्णालयात नेण्यात आले.
गांधी चौकात महिला बाप्पा ला निरोप देण्यासाठी आली होती, गर्दी जास्त असल्याने कुणीतरी महिलेच्या गळ्यातून हार चोरी केला, याबाबत गांधी चौकात अनाऊन्समेंट करण्यात आली.
