चंद्रपूर - चंद्रपूर - आरवट जवळील असलेल्या इराई नदीत शनिवारी 3 मित्र पोहण्याचा आनंद लुटण्यासाठी गेले होते. यामध्ये दहावी वर्गात शिकणारा 16 वर्षीय ओम सचिन किन्नाके, पियुष नंदूरकर व स्नेहल मेश्राम हे तिघेजण पोहायला गेले, नदीपात्रात तिघांनी उडी घेतली, दोघेजण पाण्यात पोहत होते व ओम हा पाण्यातून बाहेर येत पुन्हा त्याने नदीपात्रात उडी घेतली, मात्र यावेळी ओम परत आला नाही.
ओम नदीच्या डोहात गेल्याने तो बुडाला, ओम चा नदीत बुडून मृत्यू झाला, रविवारी सकाळी ओम चा मृतदेह आढळला.
ओम हा गरीब कुटुंबातील असल्याने त्यांच्या कुटुंबावर दुःखाचा मोठा डोंगर कोसळला.

Since Om was from a poor family, a mountain of grief fell on his family.
