चंद्रपूर : संततधार पावसामुळे वैनगंगा व वर्धा नद्यांच्या पाणलोट क्षेत्रामध्ये तसेच चंद्रपूर जिल्ह्या त सतत होत असलेल्याा पावसामुळे वैनगंगा नदीवरील गोसीखुर्द प्रकल्प, वर्धा नदीवरील अप्पर वर्धा प्रकल्प व निम्न वर्धा प्रकल्प आणि बेंबळा नदीवरील बेंबळा प्रकल्पग या धरणांमधून अधिकचे विसर्ग प्रवाहीत करण्यात येत आहे. अतिवृष्टीमुळे पाण्याचा प्रवाह वाढल्यास धरणातून विसर्ग पुन्हा वाढविण्याची शक्यता आहे. परिणामी जिल्हयात वाहणाऱ्या वैनगंगा, वर्धा, या नद्यांकाठी पूरस्थिती उद्भवण्याची शक्यता नाकारता येत नाही. सध्या हवामान विभागाने दिलेला पावसाचा ऑरेंज व यलो अलर्ट, वैनगंगा व वर्धा नदीच्या पाण्याची वाढती पातळी व नैसर्गिक वीज पडून होणारी जिवीत व वित्तन हानी टाळणेकरीता पुढीलप्रमाणे दक्षता घेण्यापबाबत प्रशासनाच्या वतीने आवाहन करण्याात येत आहे. Imd alert
कोणत्याही परिस्थितीत पुराच्या पाण्यात प्रवेश करू नका. नदीपात्राच्या कडेला अथवा धोक्याच्या ठिकाणी वास्तव्यास असल्यास तात्काळ सुरक्षित ठिकाणी स्थलांतरित व्हा. मुसळधार पावसात आवश्यकता नसल्यास घराबाहेर पडू नका. जुन्या मोडकळीस आलेल्या घरात / इमारतीत आश्रय घेऊ नका. नदी नाल्याच्या पुलावरून पाणी वाहत असल्यास पूल ओलांडू नका. अफवांवर विश्वास ठेवू नका व अफवा पसरवू नका. धोकादायक ठिकाणी अथवा दरड कोसळणा-या ठिकाणी थांबू नका.
वादळ वारा/विजा चमकत असल्यायस घरात असताना काय करावे : घराच्या खिडक्या व दरवाजे बंद ठेवा. घराचे दरवाजे खिडक्या, कुंपण पासून दुर रहावे. मेघगर्जना झाल्यापासून 30 मिनिट घरातच रहावे. घराबाहेर असल्यास त्वरित सुरक्षित निवा-याच्यां ठिकाणाकडे प्रस्थान करावे. ट्रॅक्टर, शेतीची अवजारे, मोटरसायकल, सायकल यांच्यापासून दुर रहा. गाडी चालवत असल्यास सुरक्षित स्थ‍ळी जाण्याचा प्रयत्न, करा व गाडी सुरक्षित ठिकाणी लावताना मोठ्या झाडांपासून दूर लावा. खुल्या ठिकाणांपेक्षा सामान्यतः खिडक्या बंद असलेल्या, धातू पासून तयार झालेली वाहने (बस, मोटार) चांगली आश्रयस्थळे होऊ शकतात. उघड्यावर असल्यास, शेवटचा पर्याय म्हणून लगेच गुडघ्यावर बसून हाताने आपले कान, झाकावे व आपले डोके दोन्हीळ गुडघ्यांच्या मध्ये झाकावे. जमिनीशी कमीत कमी संपर्क असावा. जंगलामध्ये दाट लहान झाडांखाली, उताराच्या जागेवर निवारा घ्यावा. इतर खुल्या जागेवरः दरीसारख्या खोल जागेवर जाण्याचा प्रयत्न, करा. (परंतु अचानक येणा-या पूरापासून सावध रहा.)
जर जमिनीच्या वर पाणी असल्यास ताबडतोब सुरक्षित निवारा शोधून काढा.
वादळ वारा/विजा चमकत असल्याूस घरात असताना काय करू नये : गडगडाटीचे वादळ आल्यास, उंच जागांवर, टेकडीवर, मोकळ्या जागांवर, समुद किनारी, स्वतंत्र झाडे, रेल्वे/बस/सहलीची आश्रय स्थाने, दळणवळणाची टॉवर्स, ध्वजांचे खांब, विद्युत/दिव्यांचे खांब, धातुंचे कुंपण, उघडी वाहने आणि पाणी इत्यादी टाळावे.
घरात असल्यास वायरद्वारे जोडले गेलेले फोन/मोबाईल व इतर इलेक्ट्राानिक/इलेक्ट्रीकल उपकरणे विद्युत जोडणीस लावु नये. (अशा आपातकालीन वेळी कॉर्डलेस व वायरलेस फोनचा वापर करावा परंतू ते भिंतीला जोडलेले नसावे.) गडगडीच्या वादळादरम्यान व विजा चमकतांना कोणत्याही विद्युत उपकरणांचा वापर करू नका. या दरम्यान आंघोळ करणे, हात धुणे, भांडी धुणे, कपडे धुणे ही कार्ये करू नयेत. कांक्रिटच्या् (ठोस) जमिनीवर झोपू नये किंवा उभे राहु नये. प्रवाहकीय पृष्टभागांशी संपर्क टाळावा. घराबाहेर असल्यास मेघगर्जनेच्या वेळी, विजा चमकत असतांना किंवा वादळीवारे वाहत असतांना झाडाखाली किंवा झाडांजवळ उभे राहु नका. वाहनांच्या धातु किंवा विजेच्या वाहक भागांशी संपर्क टाळावा. अधांतरी लटकणा-या/लोंबणा-या (Cables) पासून लांब रहा. नदीकिनारी गावांतील नागरिकांनी विशेष सतर्कता बाळगण्याची दक्षता घ्यावी, तसेच नदी/ नाल्याच्या पुलावरुन पाणी वाहत असतांना कोणीही पुल ओलांडू नये, असे प्रशासनाकडून आवाहन करण्यात येत आहे.

At present, the orange and yellow alert of rain given by the meteorological department, increasing water level of Wainganga and Wardha rivers and the following precautions are being taken on behalf of the administration to avoid loss of life and financial loss due to natural electricity.
Do not enter flood waters under any circumstances. If you live near a river or in a danger zone, move to a safe place immediately. Don't step outside unless necessary during heavy rains. Do not take shelter in old dilapidated houses/buildings. Do not cross the bridge if water is flowing over the bridge. Do not believe in rumors and do not spread rumours. Do not stop at dangerous places or places where there is a crevasse.
What to do when indoors during storm/lightning : Keep windows and doors closed. House doors should be away from windows, fences. Stay indoors for 30 minutes from the onset of thunder. If outside the house, immediately leave for a safe place of shelter. Stay away from tractors, farm implements, motorcycles, bicycles. If driving, try to move to a safe place, and park away from large trees when parking in a safe place. Vehicles (buses, cars) made of metal, usually with closed windows, can be better shelters than open spaces. If in the open, as a last resort, immediately kneel down and cover your ears with your hands, and cover your head between both knees. There should be minimum contact with the ground. In the forest, take shelter on a slope, under thick trees. In other open places: Try to get into deep places like valleys. (But beware of flash floods.)
If there is water above ground, seek safe shelter immediately.
WHAT NOT TO DO IN HOUSE DURING THUNDERSTORM/LIGHTNING: In case of thunderstorms, high places, hills, open spaces, seaside, isolated trees, railway/bus/trip shelters, communication towers, flag poles, electric/light poles, metal Avoid fences, open vehicles and water etc.
Wired phones/mobiles and other electronic/electrical devices should not be connected to electricity if in the house. (Cordless and wireless phones should be used in such emergencies but not plugged into the wall.) Do not use any electrical devices during thunderstorms and lightning flashes. Bathing, washing hands, washing dishes, washing clothes should not be done during this time. Do not sleep or stand on concrete (solid) floors. Avoid contact with conductive surfaces. (Metal doors, window frames, wiring and plumbing/taps)
If outdoors, do not stand under or near trees during thunderstorms, lightning, or strong winds. Avoid contact with metal or electrically conductive parts of vehicles. Stay away from hanging cables. The administration is appealing to the citizens of the riverside villages to take special vigilance and also not to cross the bridge when water is flowing over the bridge of the river/ drain.
