गोंडपिपरी व ब्रह्मपुरी तालुक्यातील गावात बालविवाह होणार असल्याची माहिती चाइल्ड लाईनच्या 1098 या टोल-फ्री क्रमांकावर मिळाली. चाइल्ड लाइनने जिल्हा बाल संरक्षण अधिकारी आणि बालकल्याण समितीच्या आदेशान्वये सदर गावी भेट देऊन दोन्ही कुटुंबाचे समुपदेशन केले. पालकांना बालविवाह प्रतिबंधक कायद्याबाबत अवगत करण्यात आले.
तसेच ब्रम्हपुरी पोलीस स्टेशन येथे बालविवाहाबाबत माहिती दिली असता पोलीसांनी घटनास्थळी भेट दिली.त्यानंतर संबधित गावातील अंगणवाडी संविका आणि माध्यमिक शाळा यांच्याकडून वयाचा पुरावा मिळविला. तसेच ब्रम्हपुरी पोलीसांनी पाठपुरावा करीत सदर बालविवाह थांबविला.बालकांना व बालकांच्या कुटुंबाना बाल कल्याण समिती समोर उपस्थित राहण्यास सांगितले. 24 तासाच्या आत बालक व बालिकेच्या कुंटुबाला बालकल्याण समिती समोर उपस्थित करण्यात आले.
बालविवाह प्रतिबंधक अधिनियम 2006 नुसार बालविवाह करणे कायद्याने गुन्हा असून त्यावर असणारा शिक्षा व दंड याबाबत माहिती दिली. यावेळी सरचिटणीस प्रभावती मुठाळ, चाईल्ड लाईन चंद्रपूरच्या संचालिका नंदाताई अल्लुरवार, जिल्हा महिला व बालविकास अधिकारी दिपक बानाईत, जिल्हा बाल संरक्षण अधिकारी अजय साखरकर, बालकल्याण समिती अध्यक्षा क्षमा बासरकर व बाल कल्याण समितीच्या सदस्या यांच्या मार्गदर्शनात सदर कारवाई पार पडली.
