नांदगाव पोडे येथील Wcl च्या वसाहतीमध्ये अनेक कर्मचारी राहत आहे, यामध्ये wcl चे अधिकारी RK प्रसाद यांच्या क्वार्टर मध्ये सोमवारी रात्री अज्ञातांनी प्रवेश करीत आलमारी फोडली व त्यामध्ये असलेली रोख रक्कम व सोन्या चांदीचे दागिने असा एकूण 5 लाख रुपयांचा ऐवज पळविला. Chandrapur crime
विशेष म्हणजे ज्यावेळी ही चोरी सुरू होती त्यावेळी प्रसाद हे क्वार्टर मध्ये होते, ते गाढ झोपेत असताना हा प्रकार घडला असल्याचा पोलिसांचा अंदाज आहे.
याबाबत शहर पोलिसांना तात्काळ माहिती देण्यात आली असून पोलिसांनी घटनास्थळी भेट देत पंचनामा केला. वेकोली वसाहतीत घडलेल्या या धाडसी चोरीमुळे सुरक्षेचा प्रश्न पुन्हा ऐरणीवर आलेला आहे.

Chandrapur - A daring theft broke out in Wcl's Nandgaon Colony, some distance from the city, on Monday night.
The incident of theft came to light on Tuesday morning.
In the colony of WCL in Nandgaon Pode, where many employees live, unknown persons entered the quarters of WCL officer RK Prasad on Monday night and broke the cupboard and looted cash and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh.
Interestingly, when the theft took place, Prasad was in the quarters, the police speculated that the incident took place while he was fast asleep.
The city police was immediately informed about this and the police visited the spot and conducted a panchnama.
